Spring seemed to come late this year.  This was a difficult shot for me,  I had to get down on my knees to get to the right level.  Not so easy to do at this age.

Traveling the back roads of SE Pennsylvania can be like a trip into the past.  Yesterday's gas station.

 The winter of 2017-2018 produced some lovely snow with brisk damaging winds. 

Fall was bird season this year. Locations visited included Maryland's Conowingo Dam, St. Petersburg & Kissimee, FL. Bald Eagle, Emu, Tropical Birds.  You can order prints here.

It's spider season.  Several have been camping out by our front door.  They do a fine job posing if I give them space and don't scare the daylights out of them.

Lighthouse on Ridge Pike in Limerick, PA.  Thought a more painterly approach is more fitting for this idyllic scene.

Taking the time to enjoy what comes our way makes the days much more fulfilling.  From a short time just soaking in the afternoon sun.

This downy woodpecker is one of our regular visitors.  To minimize competition at the feeder we are using a suet feeder that is oriented horizontally,  This position discourages visitors like the European starlings that can wipe out a feeder in a few hours.

Here is a wren that shows how awkward eating at one of these feeders can be for some birds.

Feeding is not a problem for the nuthatch either.

Fall is tied to memories of family traditions.  One of ours that has persisted through the years and generations is home made ravioli.  Hopefully digital images will evoke memories like old photo albums have in the past.  Not too many images but a few well chosen photos that bring us back to some of our most cherished moments.
