While doing a little clean-up on the hard drives, I ran across this shot from a few years back in the Bahamas. A couple got up early to photograph the day's "first light." Taken with a tripod mounted Nikon N-80 and a Nikkor 24-85mm f/2.8-4.

Jessica is 10 days old. Her mom wanted a photo for her birth announcement. Used the Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 VR lens. The lens did very well but Jessica did better.

Finally. Spring weather!

As a warm weather fan, I really enjoyed getting out today and discovering the crocuses were out. One of our neighbors has hunderds including these three beauties. The photos were taken on an afternoon walk with a Nikon D200 and an 18-200mm Nikkor lens with overcase skies.

Last night, Jessica joined the family. She arrived at 8:14pm, Wednesday, March 14. Mom and babe are doing fine.
This was the last shot of the evening. I had a chance to work on it Saturday morning. From the evening, my favorite shot.

Eli came to visit today. Here he is resting between eating fistfulls of goldfish. If you look carefully one is resting on the inside of his shirt colar.

Ali and Francie make "fish faces" at one another. This time, I was ready for Ali. To light the picture I used a fairly high ISO and a flash with a Gary Fong diffuser to soften the light.

This falcon was shot in the fall of 2003 at Silver Springs in Florida. I revisited the raw file in a test of Adobe Lightoom. So far, I am impressed with it's ability to make the job of editing raw files a little easier.
