Visited the Berman Museum of Art at Ursinus College today.  There are several powerful pieces in their collection.  This is George R. Anthonisen's sculpture of "Murder/Cain and Able."  George has a website at http://ganthonisen.com/

Today the sky was overcast with light rain from time to time. A nice opportunity to capture saturated colors and take advantage of the reduced dynamic range.  From time to time I visit this abandoned home to see if I can do a better job of capturing the atmosphere at this location. The raw image was taken with a Nikon 1 V1, ISO 100, 1/60 sec @ f/4.5. with the Nikkor 1 VR 6.7-13mm lens.

A Nikon 1 camera with the FT-1 adapter and the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 can be a useful combination for close-up photography. This particular image was taken at ISO 1600, 30mm at F/4.0.  The Sigma allows for very close focusing - on the Nikon 1 at 30mm the lens is effectively an 80mm.
