Enjoyed an evening at the Philly Zoo.  The eagles have a new perch.  As the sun was setting I was very pleased to capture a hint of a catch light in this wonderful eagle's eye.

Taking the time to slow down and observe what is going on around me.  From today's walk in the meadow a current pest - the stink bug.  She really fits well into this environment.  The image was captured on an overcast day which provided a wonderful shadow-less light.  Today's level of photographic technology is amazing.  A photo like this would have been very hard to make a decade ago.  Now we have cameras that can capture a high iso image that is virtually noiseless with a good dynamic range -- all done without flash but with a lens with great vibration reduction built in.
