While doing a little clean-up on the hard drives, I ran across this shot from a few years back in the Bahamas. A couple got up early to photograph the day's "first light." Taken with a tripod mounted Nikon N-80 and a Nikkor 24-85mm f/2.8-4.

Jessica is 10 days old. Her mom wanted a photo for her birth announcement. Used the Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 VR lens. The lens did very well but Jessica did better.

Finally. Spring weather!

As a warm weather fan, I really enjoyed getting out today and discovering the crocuses were out. One of our neighbors has hunderds including these three beauties. The photos were taken on an afternoon walk with a Nikon D200 and an 18-200mm Nikkor lens with overcase skies.

Last night, Jessica joined the family. She arrived at 8:14pm, Wednesday, March 14. Mom and babe are doing fine.

Ali and Francie make "fish faces" at one another. This time, I was ready for Ali. To light the picture I used a fairly high ISO and a flash with a Gary Fong diffuser to soften the light.

This falcon was shot in the fall of 2003 at Silver Springs in Florida. I revisited the raw file in a test of Adobe Lightoom. So far, I am impressed with it's ability to make the job of editing raw files a little easier.
